Is it possible to "unpublish" a course without concluding it or deleting it?

After publishing a course, is it possible to "unpublish" the course without concluding or deleting the course?  For example, in the situation that the instructor would like to hide the course for a few days in the middle of the semester while additional content is entered and then re-publish the course.

Thanks in advance for any assistance that you're able to provide!

Hi Tim,

While there is not a way to unpublish a course once it ahs been published, there are ways to hide a course and unhide it.

Go to Settings > Course Details > Edit Course Details. Move the start date to some future day and check the box next to "Users can only participate in the course between these dates." That will keep students from being able to access the course (telling them it hasn't begun yet and will begin on such and such a day) until the start date according to the settings arrives.
